A well-designed room deserves a photographer who pays attention.
Not just to the composition or the light, but to the paint color on that wall, the finish on that hardware, the way the designer layered those textiles to get exactly that feeling. Details that took months to specify and source. Details that a photograph can honor or quietly forget, depending on who's behind the camera and who's behind the retouching.
We shoot and retouch everything in-house. That's not a logistical fun fact — it's the whole point. The person who stood in your finished room is the same person who will make sure the final image reflects what was actually there. The color you specified. The light you designed around. The iterations of styling until you got it just right.
On set
We shoot tethered, which means you see every image live as it's captured. Style in real time, adjust on the fly, make decisions on the day rather than after delivery. You tinker with vase placement and chair swivel, we tinker with strobe power ratios and diffusion elements. It's a dance.
We also offer a scout day prior to every shoot which entails walking the space together, mapping the sun's path room by room using the Sun-seeker app, and building the shot sequence around when and where the light will be at its best. It's the difference between chasing the light and being ready for it.
And lunch is on us. Shoot days can be long. One less thing to think about.
After the shoot
Post production workflow happens through VeryBusy: a platform built for exactly this kind of retouching-heavy collaboration. You can zoom in, circle details, leave specific comments, and toggle between rounds to confirm that every note was addressed. No long voicemails, no clunky email chains, no guesswork.
Color accuracy is something we take seriously enough to guarantee. If there's a specific paint color, a particular finish, a fabric that needs to read exactly right, we make sure it comes through.
And if something wasn't quite right on the day — the fabric on a chair needs swapping, olive branches need to become a fiddle-leaf fig, that's a retouching conversation, not a reshoot. We've replaced plants. We've changed upholstery. More is possible than most photographers will tell you.
Where we work
Based in Portland. Easy to shoot in Lake Oswego, Bend, and Central Oregon. Available along the Oregon Coast and in Seattle. If you have a project worth photographing, geography is rarely the obstacle.
